Client Introduction

Tipsy Taps Bar and Grill is a bar and grill restaurant located in Tempe, Arizona, owned and operated by Melissa and Pete. The business represents a full rebrand and fresh ownership of a location that had previously operated under a different name and ownership group. Melissa and Pete came in with a clear vision: a welcoming neighborhood bar and grill with a strong local identity, good food, and a community-driven atmosphere. What they did not have was a digital presence, a website, or a marketing strategy to introduce that vision to the Tempe market.

The Problem

When Melissa and Pete engaged Digital Bliss Marketing Solutions, they were at the very beginning of their launch. There was no website, no Google Business Profile, and no social media presence. There was no mechanism for potential customers to find them online, verify they were open, see a menu, or learn anything about the new ownership.

Tipsy Taps carried an additional layer of complexity. The location had a prior reputation under previous ownership that was not uniformly positive in the local community. The new brand did not just need to introduce itself. It needed to actively establish credibility and give the local Tempe audience a reason to see this as a genuinely different experience.

  • No online discoverability for a brand-new business trying to attract local foot traffic
  • Lost leads to competitors with established digital presence in the Tempe bar and grill market
  • No platform to communicate the rebrand, new ownership, and new experience
  • Potential for the prior location reputation to define the business in the absence of new, positive content

Primary DBMS Method pillars affected: Visibility, Trust, Measurement.

What DBMS Did

DBMS approached the Tipsy Taps engagement as a complete digital launch, not a revision of existing assets. Every element was built from scratch in a compressed timeline to support the business launch.

Phase 1

Keyword Research and Competitive Analysis

Before a single page was designed, DBMS conducted local keyword research specific to the Tempe, Arizona bar and grill market. This research identified the discovery terms Tempe residents use when looking for dining and nightlife options. Competitor analysis informed both site architecture and content strategy, ensuring that Tipsy Taps entered the market with pages built to compete immediately for high-intent local searches.

Phase 2

Full Website Build

DBMS built the Tipsy Taps website with SEO architecture from the ground up, designed to serve two goals simultaneously: introduce the new brand visually to the Tempe audience, and rank in local search results. Every page was built with keyword-aligned title tags, meta descriptions, header structure, and internal linking. The site launched in November 2025. In the first full month, Tipsy Taps recorded 938 visits, 865 unique visitors, and 1,600 pageviews from day one.

Phase 3

Google Business Profile Setup and Verification

DBMS built and optimized the Google Business Profile from scratch, covering business information, category selection, service area, hours, photos, and a keyword-rich business description. The verification process for a rebranding location carries additional complexity, and DBMS supported Melissa and Pete through the full verification process until the profile was confirmed and live.

Phase 4

Social Media Strategy and Management

DBMS built and launched a presence on both Facebook and Instagram in December 2025 with a content strategy focused on three priorities: introducing the new brand to the local Tempe community, building an engaged local following through food, event, and atmosphere content, and driving measurable traffic from social to the website. Reels were identified as the primary growth format for Instagram. In March 2026 alone, the Facebook channel drove ticket sales producing $400 in direct attributable revenue from a single event promotion.

Results as of March 2026

In five months, Tipsy Taps has gone from having no digital presence whatsoever to a fully operational online footprint producing real, measurable results.

The keyword "restaurants near me" holds an average position of 10.0 with 2,810 monthly impressions. Position 10 is the last result on page one of Google.
