About High Skys Children’s Ranch

High Sky Children’s Ranch is a local nonprofit in West Texas dedicated to healing abused children and supporting stronger families. They envision a community where children live in safe, healthy families, breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma and abuse.

Their work includes therapeutic foster care and adoption services, emergency shelter for children in crisis, support programs for teens preparing for adulthood, and other therapeutic services to help children and families heal and thrive.

Why This Matters to Me

Before becoming a mom of two beautiful toddlers, my heart and career were dedicated to helping children and families.
My parents were therapeutic foster parents, and I grew up watching the difference love and stability can make in a child’s life. Later, while living in Alaska, I worked as a peer support specialist with children experiencing PTSD, family reunification, and life in the foster system. I eventually became a registered behavioral technician in both Alaska then North Carolina — and those years showed me that the smallest acts of kindness can change the entire trajectory of a child’s story.

Now, as a mother, I carry that same heart for children and families — and that’s exactly why I decided to partner with High Skys Children’s Ranch and host this toy drive. Every toy, every dollar, every smile shared this Christmas represents hope, love, and a reminder that no child is forgotten.
